Dilandra Singh Pundir – Owner & Chef
A little bit about Chef D
Chef Dilandra Singh Pundir was born in 1975 in the north of India. He started his career in Mumbai in 1994.
After 5 years working in Mumbai, Dilandra moved to Switzerland and worked at the Mövenpick Hotel Geneva for two years.
Further expanding his international experience Chef D also worked in Germany from 2001 to 2010.
He began his exploration of Portugal in late 2010 working in Cascais.
Finally in 2017, with the dream of owning his own restaurant finally a possibility, Dilandra took ownership of the Maharani Restaurant in Praia da Areia Branca, and in 2019 the Maharani in Peniche.
Our Chef (affectionately known as “Chef D”) brings his years of international experience to Maharani and to YOU!

Grelhados no Tandoor | Tandoori (Grilled) Dishes
Todos os grelhados são marinados de véspera com diversos especiarias indianas e iogurte. Todos os pratos tandoori são servidos na chapa quente com pimentos, cenoura, cebola, e couve branco/roxo.
All tandoori dishes are marinated overnight with indian spices and yoghurt. All dishes are served on a sizzling hot plate with carrots, peppers, white/red cabbage and onions.
